Using color to express your own personal style.

Using color to express your own personal style. : From The Experts : RPReport.com

There is nothing more disheartening than finally noticing a color scheme that makes you swoon, only to find out that every bride, corporate planner and design firm on the sphere are planning on using the same hues for their event that season. This, my friends, is called trend.

Now I know that the event industry is based on trend, and ordinarily I would tell you that the things that are popular, are popular for a reason. In this one instance however, I am going to implore you to throw caution to the wind. Create your own color scheme, I say! Whether you choose a nice neutral base and accent with a pop of your favorite color, or create a lovely palette of cohesive shades, stay true to your own instincts. Unless your instincts are pointing you in the direction of Tiffany blue, because we all know that we CERTAINLY can’t handle anymore of that…
For inspiration, find photographs that are composed of shades that make you happy. Big Huge Labs has a Palette Generator on their website that allows you to upload photographs and then “automagically creates a palette” for you. The results are incredible! Who knows? The next big color trend may be caused by YOUR event!
