When it replaced Curry Hill stalwart Annapurna in 2006, Masala Bollywood broke the mold with slick furnishings, giant photo-murals of Indian film stars, and a huge flat-screen TV broadcasting Bollywood musicals. The Vyas family, which also owns kosher vegetarian Madras Mahal and Indian-wrap joint Roomali, wisely grounded the tricked-out room with reasonable prices, generous portions, and warm service.
