Cyber Chic Nuptuals

Cyber Chic Nuptuals : From The Experts : RPReport.com

For the bride who is planning her wedding on her own, it may seem as if there is absolutely no way to keep yourself organized enough to pull this whole she-bang off without a hitch. Most will try, and actually believe that she can handle it all independently until she sends an email saying “No Orange” to the caterer instead of the florist, thus causing mass panic as the caterer tries to figure out how to prepare duck ala orange without oranges. So what is the bride without the means to hire a planner to do?
The answer is simple: Turn to your computer!
In this web 2.0 world, tech savvy brides are learning to take control of the fiasco that is commonly referred to as ‘planning a wedding’. While there is no real substitute for hiring a wedding planner, there are options now that can make the process considerably easier.  Start up those laptops ladies, and start looking into wedding planning software! There are several choices that are extremely user friendly, customizable and guaranteed to make the entire process seem much less daunting. A good program should offer a way to manage your guest list, a vendor section, budget section, timeline, seating, RSVP handling, task lists and gifts. Nice additions include templates for correspondence and an area to design your reception space layout.
Check out my favorite, Elm Software’s ‘iDo’, or do a bit of scoping out and find one that suits your needs. Just remember… don’t be fooled by the pretty pink packaging. Choose the one that will help you to plan the wedding of your dreams!
