… and at least 1/3 of them will need to be bleeped out if you don’t like your photographer. So why risk it? Go where you have options!

I had a great chat with photo biz pioneer Elizabeth Beskin of Fifth Avenue Digital earlier this month. For those of you who don’t know, Fifth Avenue Digital is a group of photographers, a photo agency of sorts. This allows the company to provide clients with a variety of styles of photography to choose from, and they only need to go to one appointment to have all of these options at their disposal. Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? Almost as if the vendors are coming directly to you. Well, that is what Elizabeth is all about! Always looking for the most cutting edge ways to provide her clients with choices. She puts the focus on finding the best photographers with the most talent to shoot the events, and has a full staff on site to handle the photo editing, color corrections and Photoshop.
One of the most interesting things that Elizabeth mentioned was how in her twenty years in the business, the model of photography has really changed. As digital photography became more prevalent, brides began to ask for their disks instead of their albums. As this transition happend, brides also began to take over the responsibility of creating their own books. Unfortunately, most of the options available to do this online do not really provide the high quality results that one can get with professional assistance in the process. This led us to Liz’s latest endeavor: Album Boutique. Album Boutique allows brides and event throwers and goers to create high quality books for their photographs. The options are endless and creative, and the prices are so unbelievably reasonable given the high level of artistry that the site allows clients to put into their books. I very strongly recommend that anyone looking to create their own book check out the Album Boutique before going anywhere else. I am quite certain that no other DIY sites will provide as clean of a product. http://www.albumboutique.com/
It seems as though Elizabeth Beskin has figured out the secret to modern event photography: One stop shopping that allows clients to pick and choose the elements that they want based on their budget and artistic tastes.
